The current "Specifications for Design of Photovoltaic Power Stations" was first published in June 2012 and will be implemented on November 1, 2012 in the same year. As the basic follow of the design of photovoltaic power station, the implementation of the specification has played a positive role in promoting the application of photovoltaic power generation technology, standardizing the design behavior of photovoltaic power station, and promoting the healthy and orderly development of photovoltaic power station construction.

The revision work started in April 2017, during which several preparation team working meetings and industry seminars have been held, and the conditions for submission have been met so far. This revision is based on the current development of the photovoltaic industry, adjusted the expressions that are not compatible with the development of the industry, and absorbed new and mature technologies. For example, clear regulations have been made for the rated capacity and capacity ratio of power stations that the industry is very concerned about, corresponding requirements have been put forward for the rapid development of surface power stations and tracking systems in recent years, and corresponding adjustments have been made to the classification of power stations and flood control requirements. . This meeting clarified the work plan and timeline for the next stage. It is reported that a review meeting of the drafts for review will be held in the near future.
